Yep, I’ve actually gone for a run/walk TWO DAYS IN A ROW!
And can I tell you how tired and sore I feel right now?! Mostly my back and shoulders, which is kinda strange since they would just have been along for the ride and not really doing any “work”.
But despite this, I’m very happy to be “back at it”. I’ve felt a surge of determination (from where I don’t know, since I have not been able to find it for months!), and I’m so relieved and thankful. Today is day 11 of getting “back on track” with my eating, and it feels great. I’m enjoying making some new healthy recipes (love the online resources!), and hunting for healthy foods even my kids will eat.
Last night was this healthy butter chicken over brown rice, with an easy (but yummy) bok choy side (kids didn’t touch the latter!). And since we had company, we had these chocolate chocolate chip muffins (with a PB centre). And right now I’m making this basic-but-delicious butternut squash soup for lunches.
I also should report that I got to my Saturday morning Weight Watchers meeting and reported a nice loss. It felt soooo good! And I’m committed to making sure this week’s weigh-in will be the same.
Thanks all for checking in on me! As much as I would have preferred for this not to be a struggle, I’m glad I have friends who are on board and working at the same health goals as I am.
Off to serve up dinner (taco salad – though more like nachos for my kids!).
way to go! i FINALLY motivated myself to get up on TIME this morning and did 2 levels (30 minutes total) of my workout dvd (until now i’ve only managed to do 1…20 minutes total). However, i was not up early enough to get my devos in
oh discipline, it’s a hard one for me!
